Milestone: Rolling Over!

Susannah Grace rolled over from her tummy to her back yesterday, June 27, 2010! I was just thrilled to witness this precious little milestone. It was so exciting, and I was so proud of her! Bless her heart! Of course, as soon as she did it, I kept making her do it over and over again. In the video above you will be witnessing the third time I made her do it! Enjoy!

Who Does Susannah Grace Look Like?

People always ask me who I think my sweet little angel looks like. I think she is definitely a good combination of both Trey and myself. There is something about her eyes and facial expressions that remind me of Trey. However, from the nose down I would absolutely say that she looks like me. The Beach, Family, and Friends...What More Could You Want?!

Trey and I had the opportunity to take Susannah Grace to Florida to visit her great grandparents. It warmed my heart to see Susannah Grace flash her little gums, while giving great big smiles to her great grandparents. I have always had a very special place for them in my heart so it was a little blessed moment to see them hold and cuddle my sweet little girl in their arms just as they did with me many years ago. Along the way, we stopped by the beach to enjoy the beautiful aqua marine water before the oil comes in. We had a blast! It was a joy to dip her little toes in the sand! Lastly, to top the weekend off we attended the Great Strides Walk-A-Thon to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for Susannah Grace's Aunt Ray Ray!

2-3 Months!

I can't believe my precious little baby girl just turned 3 months on May 25, 2010! She is growing so fast. I know it's been a while since I've updated everyone, so it's time to catch everyone up on the last two months! I went back to work, which is the main reason I haven't really taken the time to post on our blog. While it was good to see my co-works and students, it was very hard to leave her everyday. I missed her so much! I'm so excited to be off during this summer with her. She is getting to be so fun! She's definitely developing a sweet and fun little personality.

At two months old, I took Susannah Grace to the doctor for her check up and she weighed 13 lbs 12 oz (97 percentile) and measured 22 1/4 inches (50ish percentile). This month, I took her for her 3 months (14 weeks) exam (since we are putting her on the alternative vaccination plan) and she weighed 16 lbs and measured 24 1/2 inches. She is currently in the 99 percentile for weight and the 83 percentile for height. Needless to say, I'm just glad she was on the chart! Haha! She has just grown like a little weed! I have listed some things she's doing below so that I can remember this time in her sweet little life in the future:

*Sleeping through the night-started at about 10 weeks (7-9 1/2 hours)

*She's taking some great naps too (about 4-5)! They usually last 1-2 1/2 hours.

*Eating 5.5-6 oz every 3-31/2 hours

*Smiling and giggling lots!

*Cooing and gurgling bunches! Sometimes, she's so loud it seems like she is saying something really important!

Loves:

*Sitting in her bouncy seat while talking to people

*Being loved on and cuddled with while she's awake

*Mommy reading books to her

*Daddy getting some neck sugar- lots of XOXO

*Playing in her exercauser (we just started this)

*Sitting in the Bumbo

*Looking in the mirror on the changing table

*Watching Baby Einstein and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (We only let her do this a little, mainly when she is doing her physical therapy. She will turn to the right side for 10 minutes or so! Works like a charm!) :)

*Baths

Hates:

*When mommy or daddy takes the bottle out of her mouth to burp her- it's like we're never going to give it back! Ha!

*Getting Hot- she really gets ticked off!

*Getting shots at the doctor's office :( (I hate it too!)

Susannah Grace went to her first birthday party. Her cousin, Sydney, turned 1!

She also experienced her first road trip and wedding.
