9 Months!

Stats:
Weight: 27 lbs 2 oz
Height: 30 inches
Head: 47 cm
She's 99% for all! Baby girl is perfectly proportionate for her body, she's just SOLID...if you know what I mean!

That's right! You're reading it correctly....My baby girls is 9 whole months old (almost 10 months old since I'm posting this late)! Can you believe it? I just can't. Her little life has seemed to fly bye much more quickly than SG at this age. I guess keeping up with both girls, who are only 19 months apart, does having a blurring effect at times. I'm so thankful for her little life. What a precious surprise blessing she has turned out to be. When she is sweet, which is most of the time, she is sugary sweet. She's my cuddle bug for sure and I love soaking it in when I can. I'm so thankful for her little life and the joy it has brought to our lives.

Eating:
3-4 bottles a day...mostly 4 (about 25 oz or less a day)
3 meals a day (1 1/2-2 stage 2 organic baby food containers)
*She has prunes and rice cereal in the morning, a veggie and fruit for lunch, and two veggies for dinner.

Sleeping:
*During the last couple of weeks she has dropped down to two naps (one around 9ish and 1:45ish)
This occurred because she started waking up around 4 am playing....She would go back to sleep, but mommy thought she might need to drop a nap.
*We have been putting her down around 7 PM. Before we moved, she would sleep from 7-7, but now she only sleeps from 7-6ish. So, needless to say, I'm currently trying to bump back her bed time so that she will sleep in later.

Development:
*Right when she turned 9 months she started ROLLING ALL OVER THE PLACE!! YAY!
*She can stand without assistance holding onto furniture for short periods- Mommy is standing right behind her, of course ;).
*She has also just recently started babbling "Ba ba ba"- I'm so thankful because I was a little worried that she wasn't repeating a consonant with a short vowel sound. She would make noise like "Uhhhhh" or "Mmmmm" but that was it. So, I'm glad I can put that little worry to rest :).
*She has THREE teeth! She just got her third one this week!
*She LOVES to eat crackers all by herself. What a big girl?! These are a life saver in between meals or when we go out to eat and she needs a little snack.
*Her little personality has just started blossoming! It is so sweet. She loves flashing those two bottom teeth! Although, she does have some stranger anxiety. She'll stare you down and poke out her bottom lip if you aren't too careful.

Multitude Monday/Tuesday:548-570

Today has been one of those days weeks that I feel like I’m losing heart. When that happens I have to sit down, be still, and think of what I’m thankful for. I haven’t done this in a while and it shows (in my attitude, speech, and the numbness of my heart). We’ve been busy these days. Our lives are slowly but surely settling down a little, though. I know you’ve been wondering if we’re even ALIVE. Well, the answer is yes. We’re alive here in Spring Hill, TN. We’ve been in our house now for about a month. I really love our house and the area. We’re just in that waiting place….waiting to find a church, friends, and a place in this new town. So, while I’m waiting, and especially because I thought I needed the reminder, I thought I would continue on the pursuit of listing 1,000 things I’m thankful for…

I am thankful for…

548. Meme’s and Poppy’s willingness and graciousness to let us live with them for 6 weeks while we waited on our house to get finished being built
549. Developing a deeper relationship with my sister in law (Krysten) during the time that we lived with Meme and Poppy
550. Meme’s surgery and recovery going well
551. Mom’s and Dad’s help renting an additional truck for us so that we wouldn’t have to make numerous trips to get everything to Spring Hill that wouldn’t fit in the POD
552. FINALLY closing on our new home and getting to move in
553. Pawpaw’s and Poppy’s help moving in
554. Nana’s, Meme’s, and KK’s help watching the girls while we moved in the majority of our things
555.  Trey’s patience with me…getting everything into it’s place in our new home J
556. 5 years of marriage to my wonderful husband
557. Meme and Poppy watching the girls so that we could have a date night for our anniversary
558. Susannah Grace saying, “Momma, sit,” while patting on my bed because she wanted me to sit and watch T.V. with her
559. Watching my girls hold hands while sitting next to each other
560. Hearing SG giggle at Caroline babbling in the car
561. Caroline’s sweet personality blossoming- I love seeing her smile with her mouth wide open flashing those two adorable bottom teeth
562. Getting C down to 2 naps and the flexibility it has given us
563. Changing C’s schedule so that she wakes up a little later in the morning J
564. SG saying “Yay” when we she gets something she is excited about. For instance, when she gets a cookie, we take her to the park, or when daddy gets home.
565. Hearing SG sing “Jesus” at night, as she calls it…”Jesus Loves Me.” Her little voice is so innocent and sweet
566. Trey’s strength during difficult times
567. Mom and Dad finding a new home so that it will be a little easier for us to visit!
568. Friends that have called to see how we’ve been since the move
569. A friend’s encouraging email- It’s always nice to know that there are people out there who care
570. Getting to talk to Gigi. She always knows what to say to make me feel better.

Multitude Monday: 536-547

I am thankful for...

536. watching SG make connections- One day this week, while playing with two small fairy dolls, she positioned them facing each other and keep saying something that I just couldn't understand. Finally, I realized she was saying "friends." When I said, "Oh, are you saying they're friends?" She nodded her head and smiled a proud smile of accomplishment! It was soooooo sweet.
537. Trey's safety while traveling to Nashville for business.
538. Meme's and Poppy's help while daddy was out of town
539. getting to go to Grand Momma's house this week with the girls
540. Nana's help watching C so that we could take Sydney and SG to the park on Saturday
541. Rachel's CF walk going well- I wish I could have been there, though :(
542. Trey willingness to watch the girls while the women in the family (Me, Meme, Kay Kay, and Nana) went out for a "Girls' Night"- It was so refreshing!
543. Trey watching the girls while I went to help host a baby shower- he was super dad this weekend!
544.  spending time as a family with Meme before her surgery
545. Meme's surgery going well! Now we've just got to pray for recovery.
546. The Lord's hand and guidance for our family
547. getting to spend time and play with our dear friends Lola and Haley today!

Multitude Monday: 522-535

I am thankful for...

522.   Finally finding a house in Spring Hill, TN!
523.   Meme and Poppy’s help taking care of C, and Nana and Pawpaw’s help taking care of SG while Trey and I went to TN to look for homes
524.   The Lord’s providence in bringing the perfect tenants to rent our house right to our door! It was amazing! We put a sign in the yard and had renters in a week!
525.   Friends’ and family’s help while moving
526.   Meme and Poppy opening up their home to us for a month while we wait for our house to get finished being built
527.   Trey’s wisdom in allowing our family to establish a savings these past five years to prepare for putting a down payment on our new home and having an emergency fund
528.   The ability to save money during the month of June while we are living with Meme and Poppy
529.   SG’s growing vocabulary…She recently said “I want to put my shoes on!” a.k.a.- I want to go outside
530.   Caroline’s blossoming personality! She’s such a sweet little thing most of the time.
531.   The Lord’s strength allowing me to breastfeed (pump) these past 7 ½ months. I didn’t make it very far with SG so I’m very thankful.
532.   This time of learning that the Lord is enough even when others hurt or fail you.
533.   Trey finding an employee to cover his former territory. This is a huge burden lifted off of his shoulders and mine.
534.   Getting to have a date night with Trey- We haven’t had the opportunity to go out on a “date” in a long time!
535.   SG’s eye dr. appt going well.

While we are oh so blessed, we ask for you to pray for our family in a few areas if you feel so called to do so:

*Please pray for my Mother In Law’s (Susie’s) surgery to go well on May 21st. She is donating a kidney to a dear friend in need of this vital organ. I will be caring for her as she recovers from this major surgery. Please pray she isn’t in a lot of pain and recovers quickly. Also pray for God’s wisdom in knowing how to care for her in the best way possible so that I can help her heal.

*Trey’s safe travels and strength for me. Trey will be traveling a lot this month to train his replacement for the AL and MS territory. Please pray for his safety and my endurance while taking care of the kids and helping Meme heal.

*Please pray everything goes well with the closing of our home (sometime around June 20th- my birthday).

*In addition, pray our move goes smoothly and we’re all able to adjust quickly.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. They are much appreciated during this time in our lives.

Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My!

These two lions sure do look....
FEROCIOUS!
Don't you think?

They sure can give those lions, tigers, and bears a run for their money!

After all, they're loud enough to make any animal turn it's head!

 Bing! Bang!

Even the elephant seemed worried and wanted to get away!

After a while, these two little girls will regroup and decide they've had enough binging and banging for one day.
So, our little navigator will instruct us which way to go!

Of course, we'll stop for photo opts along the way!

And if we're careful enough, we just might sneak up on a....

 hippity hoppity Kangroo!

Well, maybe not so hippity hoppity...This kangaroo is taking a break! So...

 We did too!

Only for a minute, though because....

There was some mining to be done!

Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go!

And after a long and exciting day....
We'll head home!

6 Months!

I'm a little late posting a six months update. That's what happens when  your children are only 19 months apart ;)! Here are some photos and a few things she has been doing.

Weight: 21 lbs (98%)
Height: 27 3/4 inches (97%)

Sleeping:
She usually sleeps 10-12 hours eat night
Naps: 3-4 (two short and one long)
She wakes up at 7:00 or 7:30 so I lay her down at: 8:30 or 9:00, 11:00-11:30, 2:30 or 3:00- After she wakes up I just keep her up until 7:00 or 7:30

Eating:
Every 3-4 hours 4-5 times a day (mostly 5 times)
1) I breastfeed her first thing in the morning (7:30)
2) Prunes + rice cereal + 5-6 oz bottle (10:30 or 11:00)
3) Veggie + fruit + 5-6 oz bottle (1:30 or 2:00)
4) This meal is tricky sometimes I feed her two veggies + a 5-6 oz bottle or I feed her a 7-8 oz bottle and feed her an hour or so later to stretch her feedings (she seems to be hungrier during this time of the day so it just depends) (5:00 or 6:00)
5) 8 oz bottle and goes to sleep (7:30- sometimes 7:00 if she's been up a while)

Development:
*She recently got her 1st tooth (she's over 6 1/2 months now-closer to 7 months)! I can't believe it!
*Can roll to her side
*Loves jumping in her Jump and Go
*Can sit up- but still shaky
*Loves grabbing those toes and anything else she can get her hands on- this includes your face :)
